Doctor Shayan Mojdehi
Co-Founder & Co-Director, postgraduate interview training lead
Shayan completed 6-years of studies at Macquarie University: completing the Bachelor of Clinical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine programs as of 2024. He will be joining the 2025 cohort of Junior Medical Officers at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
Shayan’s overall experience positions him as a leading expert in the interview coaching sector. Key highlights include:
☆ Four-years in a row of interview (MMI) completion at Macquarie University as per GEMSAS applications.
☆ Two years as academic staff for Faculties of Medicine, Health & Human Sciences as well as Science & Engineering at Macquarie University.
☆ Extended teaching qualifications in adult teaching - MQ Uni’s Beginning to Teach and Global Leadership programs, and Certificate IV in Training & Assessmemt.
☆ Three years of teaching and mentoring medical school applicants and medical students: with the latter involving marking of medical students in work-based assessment tasks.
☆ Award winning clinical experience as an emergency medic and fire warden over five years across multiple organisations. Leading pre-hospital medical responses in the community for critically ill patients. Cases handled range from resuscitating cardiac arrested patients at Sydney Airport, to managing anaphylaxis and drug overdose at festivals.
☆ A decade of person-centred work experience across multiple industries and scenarios: education, fitness, telecommunications, retail, business, and pre-hospital/hospital healthcare.
Shayan’s experience of over 10-years has collectively provided him with the skills and knowledge highly sought after by all medical schools. As one of the few tutors in Australia with such a unique background (e.g. four MQ interviews in a row), he acts as a potent resource for medical school applicants: a rare opportunity that many of Shayan’s successful students have taken up prior to admission into an MD program.
